Final release. The end of the road.
Greetings, players!
At long last, the day of the final release of the game has arrived. After weeks of hard work redoing the graphics and fixing some errors along the way, it's time to put an end to the story.
It's been many months of tough work, but I'm truly pleased with what I've achieved. Many other games have fallen by the wayside and never reached completion. This experiment, designed to test if I could complement my writing with graphics generated by artificial intelligence, has been completed, and I couldn't be prouder. Hey, and it's completly free!
In the previous update, you were able to experience the entire story. The feedback you've provided in recent days has brought me immense joy and given me the encouragement I needed to carry out my work.
In this update, I believe I've updated practically all the backgrounds and graphics of the characters to include everything I've learned during these months. I hope you like the changes. I truly believe they are for the better.
Additionally, to facilitate replayability, I've added an option for you to skip some of the minigames if you manage to unlock any of the existing endings (game over doesn't count).
Lastly, since many of you have insisted on it, I've written a mini-guide, quite concise, that reveals where you can unlock all the scenes and how to achieve the different endings. As I mentioned earlier, having a real job means I don't have all the time in the world, so I couldn't create an extremely detailed guide. I took advantage of testing all the scenes to write it as I checked that everything was in order. I hope it serves you well, and I encourage any of you to complete it if you wish.
I've tried to test absolutely everything, but I'm sure that some bugs may have slipped through. Please, if that's the case, let me know, and I'll try to make a patch to fix it.
I must say I have a slight regret. There are many character graphics that you won't see in the game because they weren't ultimately used. I wondered if it would be worth creating an unlockable gallery where you could view the character graphics. In the end, I didn't do it because I'll soon have a few intense weeks in my real job, and I wanted to publish this update. So, who knows? Maybe in the future, I'll find some time to create this gallery if I see that people might be interested in it.
So, the last thing I ask of you is to leave me your feedback once again, to share the game so that people can get to know it, and to send me your suggestions using itch or mailing me at smaugpuppy@gmail.com.
Now I'll take a well-deserved break, I'll try to spend some time with Baldur's Gate, and I'll finish writing a couple of commissions I have. Then I'll think about the projects I've come up with for the future. I can tell you that one of them is based on a shop in a fantastic medieval world that must fulfill orders for all kinds of customers, and the other idea would be a story through time with a character that reincarnates in different eras with a Mythos background. Is there one of the two ideas that appeals to you more than the other?
Well, with this, I bid you farewell. Thank you very much for accompanying me on this journey, and as I said, I hope you like the result.
Best regards, The Puppydragon
