Hello!

A few weeks after releasing the full version of the game, I'm back to update you on the progress of the graphic enhancement.

Currently, I've completed the main characters, and when I return from a well-deserved vacation (I'm off to Darklands!), I'll continue with the rest of the secondary characters and the backgrounds of the game.

I'm quite pleased with the creative process of the new characters and being able to compare what I could do when I started the project to what I can do now. What a difference.

The only thing that saddens me a bit is not receiving feedback on the latest version of the game. I would have liked to know if you enjoyed the story, the characters, the different endings, ... It makes me wonder if it's really worth making more games in the future since I'm not charging for them, and all I've ever asked for is a bit of, let's call it, emotional support.

What is certain is that I will finish this game, and then I will consider what to do in the future.

I leave you with a taste of the new version of our guys for what will be the final version of the game.

Best regards, The Puppydragon

I can't wait for the improved graphics. The game is cool, I would like other games from you

I have almost all the graphics finished already so I think you can expect the release soon. Right now I'm testing everything and writing a small guide with the basics and how to unlock all the CG/s.

About new games, I have a couple on mind but first I want to finish Baldur's gate 3 hahahhaa

Hello, I just found out about your game and I wanted to say that I loved your project. There are a low number of games that I have seen that are completed from beginning to the end and thats already a very good thing.
Now the positives: I really liked the eldritch aspect of the story, I think the setting and the combination between Cthulhu lore and leather stuff is really original. The narration of both serious and adult scenes are also well written.

The CG and the characters are really hot (my favorites were the villain and the cult) and with so many variations on the story, it makes me want to read more and discover more about it.

And I think this is where my main issue comes, there's a lot of effort in replayability and I want to unlock all the cgs and read more about the different routes. But its hard to do for two reasons:
1) Lack of gameplay clues, I feel like there should be more essential information available to the characters. Like relationship points, what ending are you going for, how many pieces of the grimoire you have, etc.

It may be not a substitute for a proper guide, but at least it will make things more easy to unlock later or take another path later.

2) The minigames and some puzzles can be long and annoying to do when replaying that segment.  My main example was on the final days were I had to repeat fight after fight just because I want to see different options and there was no way to skip those.

Outside that, its still a really good game, very hot and with a great plot and can't wait to see the final version and other future projects you may have.

Hi! First of all thank you very much for your words. I appreciate very much them.

First of all I love that you like the villains more than the heroes, I also dedicated plenty of time to them and it seems that at least it was a time well invested.

Let's go go for the comments:

1 - One of the things that I was not sure to implement was displaying your current relationship level with the characters. And I must confess I'm not sure still about it. I would like to find a way to display it without showing a number or a bar that gets filled. I would like to find a more natural way to do it. I hope someday I can get an idea and I can implement it.

2 - That one is solved already in the next version. I had the same feeling and I implemented already a way to skip the fights once you get the first ending. Anyways I hope that people also try to lose some of the fights becuse that can bring you to new roads you haven't explore before.

As I dont have any kind of hurry to release the final version I will try to implement improvements to it.

I hope peple keep adding their comments. Believe me that I have them all in mind for that release.

And again thank you very very much for your words. They give me a lot of energy to keep working!

So I guess I'll be the a-hole and leave a more harsh review. If I didn't like the game, or didn't care, I wouldn't write this. I like the game, and I want to see you improve, so...

I really liked the game, and the story was interesting. I reached the end and found I think like, three endings. Loved the story and art...But due to the gameplay, I have no intention of playing again without a detailed step-by-step guide. The gameplay was kind of infuriating.

I know you want the players to write the guide... But I'll be blunt, it's your first game. You don't yet have the player base for that. You know what could help build a player base? A detailed guide.

The first time I played, I quit at the library rescue because I couldn't figure out how to save my favorite character from dying. I tried for 30 minutes to do that. The second time I played, over a month later mind you, I randomly figured it out at nearly half an hour of trying... There was no guide, nobody had any useful hints/clues at the time in the comments/reviews. I would have dropped the game forever if I had to spend another ten minutes trying to figure that out. If I, a very patient person, was nearly driven to dropping the game, after an hour of trying. I'm sure there were lots of people who dropped the game after fifteen minutes. And it's because they didn't have access to a guide, and couldn't figure different parts of the gameplay out. Most people aren't going to ask for help, they are just going to stop playing.

You made incredibly annoying scenes that takes a lot of your players forever to figure out, and refused to make a guide, expecting the players to do it for you... Honestly, when I personally saw the multiple comments you posted saying you wanted the players to make the guide. I felt like you had to have no respect for your players at all. I'm sure that's not the case, but that's what I felt at the time when I had just spent 40 minutes stuck at a specific point in the story.

I really want to see more games from you, I genuinely do. The story was very unique, it grabs your interest, it was fun, liked the characters, overall very creative! Just unfortunately has some very grating gameplay aspects.

It is good, you will certainly improve from here on out. It's your first game you said, you don't yet have much of a player base, but with more games you'll gain more. You are already good at making interesting plots, you've are already greatly improving at using the AI Art, so I am sure with more games you'll learn how to make gameplay elements and puzzles much more fun.

I am looking forward to seeing what you make next.

Hi!

First of all thank you for your words. The first thing I see is you have a great interest in the game and that makes me happy.

Talking about your comments, what I would like to do, as I commented in my posts, is helping players to write the guide, not writing it myself. I will reply any questions done to me as I've done until now giving the direct answer to the situations if needed as I've been doing until now.

It's basically a matter of time. If I invest the time in making the guide I don't invest the time in evolving the game. One of the topics that has been discussed is that the game has progressed in a good and a fast way. Many games get abandoned or make very small releases and I wanted to be sure to finish it. So, right now, while I'm working on the "final" release still, I really don't have time to write a guide on my own.

Talking about the library. It might not be easy, but if you read the texts carefully it can be easy. Even more, not finishing the library at time it's one of the ways to get the perfect ending with the character who died and getting a "special ending" that only is shown if you don't make the library puzzle at time.

As I said I could do is a map of the scenes (I have one already because I've been using it for the plot) and writing the conditions for all the endings but I'm not able to dedicate all the time needed to write a detailed guide right now. I'm very very sorry for that. Once I've finished the game might be I could do it, but I need more time to do all the graphic rework right now.

In any case, thank yopu very very much for your words. I like a lot comments like yours because are the ones that help to do the things better in the future and I'll take that in account.

And again... dead is not the end. You can always wish upon a star.

I tried different endings and deleted my previous game to unblock the gallery and not miss anything!

Are you planning to do a guide when it is finished?  I love the new style and how the decisions in previous chapters change the text and everything.

Also, I liked the different endings and now is one of my recommended and favorite games with nice images(CG) and a story <3

I don't think I'll do a full guide but probably I'll write a short story map to be able to guide people into the different scenarios and endings. As I said a couple of times I would rather prefeer that people write the guide on my own and ask me if they have questions.

In any casse thank you very much for your words!

I loved your game, i ended up with Cthulhu and defeated the cultists! Already planning my second playthrough and see  what i can do differently.

Thank you very much for your comment! There are different endings depending on your romance level, if you have all the cthulhu fragments, if you reach the ritual at time and some more things....
