April 2025: Big Dungeons, Bigger Plans (And a Bit of Real Life)
Hey everyone,
It’s been a while since the last update, so I thought it was time for a big one. First of all, thank you. Really. For your patience, your messages, your support, and for sticking around while I navigate the chaos of real life and game development.
The past few months have been a rollercoaster for me. I changed jobs recently, which, as exciting as it is, totally threw off the rhythm I had for working on the game. Life just didn’t allow me the same amount of time to sit down and fully focus the way I wanted. And to top it off, my desktop—my trusted main machine—decided to die on me. 😭
Now before anyone panics—no, I haven’t lost anything. I’m a proud backup nerd! Everything important is safe, including the project files, artwork, code, and scripts. The only catch is that, until my main PC is back up and running, I’ve been working on an old laptop that’s definitely not made for heavy lifting. It’s slower, clunkier, and less comfy for visual work, but hey, it gets the job done (eventually).
Now, let’s talk about the juicy stuff. The next chapter is huge. I mean really, really huge. We’re talking the chapter, right now, includes:

Six fully developed dungeons so far (yes, six! and I expect to have one per character when I finish the chapter)

Each dungeon is themed around a different character, with its own mood, mechanics, and surprises

Over a dozen new CGs already finished (and more on the way)

New story content, fresh challenges, and deeper connections between the characters

And… something I’m very excited about—gameplay freedom. You'll be able to complete dungeons in the order you want, which adds a whole new layer of immersion and player choice. But I can’t give you that unless I complete all of them first.
I know some might be wondering, “Why not just release what’s done now?” And I get that. But here’s the thing—I don’t want to give you a half-finished experience. This chapter is carefully designed to feel cohesive and impactful, and releasing it piecemeal would honestly break the flow and ruin the vibe. It wouldn’t do justice to the characters, the story, or you.
So instead of throwing in seasonal events or mini-updates, I’m going all in on making this chapter shine. We’ll have time for all those extras once this beast is out. And believe me, it’s going to be worth the wait.
Also, I’ve been doing some UI improvements while working on this chapter. One cool thing you’ll see is that on the main screen, you’ll be able to freely place and move characters, allowing for more interaction and fun little dynamics. It’s a small touch but adds to the immersion and makes the game feel more alive.
Just a heads-up—after this chapter, there’s only one more. That’s right, two chapters left until the end of the game. The story arc is reaching its peak, and we’re heading into the final stretch. It’s both exciting and a little scary, but I’m giving it everything I’ve got.
So please, hang in there with me. Development is continuing step by step, dungeon by dungeon, and CG by CG. I promise I’m doing my best to make this chapter the most ambitious and rewarding one yet.
